Happiness
Happiness … so many strive for this wonderful feeling.
But why do we fail often so epically?
Most of us are still looking for Happiness in the outside world. But you won’t find it there. Oh, no, that isn’t fully true, because you may find it … for a certain time. But then you get bored or the toy isn’t new enough or whatever time does with it, so you are unhappy again.
But what if Happiness is an inside job and comes from you? What if it always has been there and you just looked in the wrong direction?
Do you remember yourself as a child? You were happy for no reason. You thought the duck running over the gras was the most hilarious thing. You were smiling most of the time and you don’t even remember why.
This is where Happiness lives, inside of you.
So ask yourself, what really makes you happy? The smell of tea or coffee? Seeing your dog, your child, your spouse after a hard day’s work? The blue sky? The sound of the sea on the shore? The rustle of leaves in the wind? Looking into eyes smiling at you with no expectation? All these things can actually make you happy.
So ask yourself, what really makes you happy?
Go to your quiet place within, close your eyes and breathe, slowly and deeply. What scene comes up for you? What memory? What outlook? Do you feel the emotion? And then go into gratitude, and feel that. Feel the gratitude for these experiences, these ‘things’ you already have. And notice how Happiness is already in you.
Happiness is an inside job, you had it all the way, you only forgot.
8-Weeks-of-Happiness (Teaching & Meditation)
So the main question is: what is Happiness and how or where do we find it? In our 8 weeks, we will look at 8 different angles to find the answers. Maybe there is a hidden source of Happiness? Maybe you find it by activating your body wisdom? We will also find out how to embrace these factors to change patterns and behaviours, which is part of the process of becoming happy. Every week we will have a different theme, where we will set an intention, relax and then meditate together. You will get some homework as well, which is implementing the themes into your life … to become … and then be … happy …
